In traditional manufacturing environments, double-sided conformal coating is handled through one of a few approaches, either using multiple coating machines in sequence, manually flipping boards between coating stages, or relying on labor-intensive manual coating altogether. Each approach introduces the same fundamental issues: inconsistent coating results, increased handling risk, higher labor cost, and production bottlenecks that limit throughput.<\/p>\n
Our customer in India was producing PCB assemblies at increasing volumes and needed to upgrade their existing process to handle double-sided coating without adding a second standalone coating line. Their specific requirements were:<\/p>\n

The efficiency of this system relies on the seamless integration of our core coating equipment with high-precision peripheral automation. Below is the step-by-step automated workflow of the double-sided coating line as installed.<\/p>\n
The cycle begins with a Magazine Loader<\/a> automatically feeding the boards onto the conveyor line.<\/p>\n
Boards move through an Inspection Conveyor<\/a> for pre-coating verification before entering the first Three-Axials Coating Machine<\/a> for first-side coating.<\/p>\n
After the first coating pass, boards enter the \u041f\u0435\u0447\u044c \u0423\u0424-\u043e\u0442\u0432\u0435\u0440\u0436\u0434\u0435\u043d\u0438\u044f<\/a> to cure the first-side coating material.<\/p>\n
The \u0428\u0430\u0442\u0442\u043b-\u043a\u043e\u043d\u0432\u0435\u0439\u0435\u0440<\/a> transfers the board to the start of the line.<\/p>\n
A \u0424\u043b\u0438\u043f\u043f\u0435\u0440 \u0434\u043b\u044f \u043f\u0435\u0447\u0430\u0442\u043d\u044b\u0445 \u043f\u043b\u0430\u0442<\/a> automatically rotates the board 180\u00b0 for second-side processing.<\/p>\n
The board then passes through the second \u041f\u043e\u043a\u0440\u044b\u0442\u0438\u0435<\/a> and curing oven for the second side. A final inspection stage verifies coating quality before the completed board exits to a Magazine Unloader<\/a>.<\/p>\n
